| The photo is beautiful, but in my opinion it does not depict geology...<br/>According to Wikipedia, geology is the science comprising the study of solid Earth, the ROCKS of which it is composed, and the processes by which it evolves.<br/>The majority of geological data come from research on solid Earth materials. These typically fall into one of two categories: ROCK and unconsolidated material (Soil). <br/>In my opinion, sand is just the surface of earth, geology is concerned with vertical depth either in the rock or the soil... Please correct me if I am wrong... |
